I personally supervised the construction of this 35' tall Rockwood 8" straight face classic natural wall. This was one of the most enjoyable walls I have ever built for obvious reasons. You are looking here at the north wing.

Wow! What a difference ! You are looking here at the south wing of this very structual retaining wall. We take great pride in our work. Notice how nice this wall looks even 53 rows up! This is one of the reasons I like the Rockwood block so much.If you are building a wall and the block you use is off by 1/16th of an inch and you go up 16 rows you can be off 1 inch! Look how great these Rockwood
blocks look!

We are working hard getting this wall off the ground. This wall in its tallest section has 20 foot long geo-grids. That skinny guy there on the left is Greg. He is my main foreman and in my opinion the best wall builder in the industry.

You can't see our wall here but, you can see the effects of our wall. When we say, "no project to big," we mean it!

Can you say ,"Welcome to the jungle"!

After
Agape Retaining Walls, Inc. installed this Hercules Retaining Wall System. This type of wall is referred to as an open faced block and can be filled with rock or planted making a very green wall. Oftentimes, when planted, in a year or two you will not even see the wall. When built correctly these Hercules Walls are very structurally sound and in some cases can save money by reducing the cost of labor.

After
Agape Retaining Walls, Inc. guarantees this 8" Rockwood wall will keep this yard level for many decades. On this project we put in sonotubes behind our wall to help the fence installers to not hit the geo-grid behind the wall. (Note: never allow the use of augers behind any structural modular block wall. This could result in structural damage being done to the wall.)

Before: Chesterfield, MO
These old landscape ties and steps made with stepping stones are very dated. They are also very old and because they are holding up the drivway very much a liability.
|
After
Agape Retaining Walls, Inc. installed these Rockwood 6" 3-way split natural color walls with Roman Stone Pavers used on the steps. We also placed Sonotubes behind these walls to help out the fence installation. I love what we do for a living at Agape. This project not only looks great but most likley largely paid for itself in the increased value of the home.

These old rail road ties were the real deal, creasil and all.
|
After
Agape Retaining Walls, Inc. installed these very nice double terraced Rockwood 8 " straight faced goldenrod walls. One of the things the homeowners like about these walls is the way the lower wall is not that tall so they have the option to break up the look of the walls with some good landscaping. Another thing they like is how we brought the two terraces together to run out both ends.

Before: Oakville, MO
These old landscape timbers aren't looking so good. They were also very dangerous going down to the pool area with all the old rusty nails and splinters. You can't see it from this angle but the walls are slipping and allowing the concrete slabs behind them to sink.
|
After
Agape Retaining Walls, Inc. installed these Rockwood, 6" straight face natural walls with Roman Stone pavers going down to the pool area. When building retaining walls around a pool like this, special attention needs to be taken so as not to damage the pool in any way.
