Because this old tie wall was slipping, the concrete driveway behind it was sinking. Also, this area in front of the wall was useless and these steps served little purpose.

We also installed these modular block steps and these great looking Belgard Bergerac Pavers. I am so blessed to do what I do for a living. Our design for these walls took into consideration the homeowners concern about having a 15' tall concrete monolith in their backyard. We softened this hardscape by leaving the bottom terrace lower, allowing for more wall to be concealed by landscape greenery while fulfilling the needed purpose of retaining the hillside.
